Front motor mount on an angle

Hey guys, I thought I was done building my truck, but then the transmission would move under load, and the drive shaft would pop out. Now I am going to mount it with the transmission case screws. Like the title says it needs to be on an angle for the motor to clear the shock tower. I am looking for pictures of what other people have done for inspiration.

The transmission is an scx10, and the frame is home made. The reason I am not using the bottom mounting holes is they are all messed up, and can not be fixed. Sorry I can't post pictures because I don't want to pay $20, and I don't like using photo bucket.

Try Flickr. Works good.

It's hard to figure out what you're talking about without a picture.

The $20 isn't just for the pics, it also allows you to get into all the great vendor giveaways.

Looks like first you could use a new trans case, would probably make life easier.

Yes I agree, but I am a kid and don't have any money. My parents all ready have lent me lots of money for this. Plus I don't want to buy a plastic case because the holes might strip again, and the aluminum one is to much money. I thought I could use what I had.

I am going to try to sell some stuff. Do you all think I should get a new transmission case, and make a plate for it to mount to?

Thanks for everyone's help.

Re: Front motor mount on an angle

Get a new trans case. Learn to not overtighten. You'll be set, shouldn't have any issues.
