Front motor mount on an angle Hey guys, I thought I was done building my truck, but then the transmission would move under load, and the drive shaft would pop out. Now I am going to mount it with the transmission case screws. Like the title says it needs to be on an angle for the motor to clear the shock tower. I am looking for pictures of what other people have done for inspiration. The transmission is an scx10, and the frame is home made. The reason I am not using the bottom mounting holes is they are all messed up, and can not be fixed. Sorry I can't post pictures because I don't want to pay $20, and I don't like using photo bucket. |
Re: Front motor mount on an angle Try Flickr. Works good. It's hard to figure out what you're talking about without a picture. |

Re: Front motor mount on an angle I am going to try to sell some stuff. Do you all think I should get a new transmission case, and make a plate for it to mount to? Thanks for everyone's help. |
Re: Front motor mount on an angle Get a new trans case. Learn to not overtighten. You'll be set, shouldn't have any issues. |
