| front mount lnc trans?
First off I don't know anything about the losi night crawler. I've been looking at different transmissions and what will work for a front mount setup. I like the lay out of the lnc trans, but what is the width of it? Can it handle some abuse? Anything else I should consider/need? |

I'm interested, too. I ordered a cheap Chinese planetary setup to try to see if it'll fit the body I want to use. Either front or rear mounted. If it works out I'll get a gooder one. What axles will you use? Last edited by Brake Weight; 03-24-2017 at 04:01 AM. |

I did read some on it needing a planetary setup at least if running scx10 based axles. Cause of the gear ratio.

The one I found is a 14:1. The SCX tranny is 12.6:1. So it'll be a little faster. If it works right. It'll be on scx axles.

I'll be watching for how it works for you. Do you have a link to the planetary set up?

I'll be happy with a few battery packs through it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/351900958125 A 14:1 would be a little slower. |

I'm using LNC as forward mount in my unimog build with the intended axles but using this trans with any other axles other than losi axles would be horrible gearing overall. You would have zero low end. I tried it once about 5 years ago "no Bueno" |

| Re: front mount lnc trans? Thanks, by the way your mog is awesome, also where I got the idea about use the trans. I had the feeling it was a crazy idea.

Another good option would be the Rc4wd R2 trans. I have 1 i would sell pretty cheap they are great for low range crawling with ring and pinion axles. I wouldn't recommend them for brushless though the bearings are quite small. But they last forever on a good brushed setup |
