I am hoping us EUro boys will catch a break for once, but i have it on order here. https://www.modelsport.co.uk/index.p...duct_id=397405 Okay to make it over to Denmark they really got to ship it at least on the 15, so maybe i am a bit too optimistic, but i have not been out driving for over a month, so i do have the shakes. The TRX-4 are listed to be in store same place around the 21 of this month, so maybe i upgrade to that if the HPI get pushed more back than i like. I really got to have something to drive before the end of the month, or i will have to resort to driving one of my friends many scalers. |

Okay as i feared there will be no Venture to me at this time, as seen elsewhere on the interweb the in stock date at modelsport is now also late July So now i am contemplating adding a little money and go for the TRX-4 as until i get a new truck i will be driving loaners ( the TF2 PO me so much after i added the Blazer body and it have become POS to drive ) And i am looking for something new as i after all wheeled the TF2 since day #1 There are also the SCX2 but really to me its still a SCX even if it wheel better, and i still think Axial should have done something else ( my vote still on larger scalers 1:5 size ) And i really dident want the trx-4 as my friend have that now, so off course the HPI venture was right up my got to be different ally. |

So while wating for this i looked at the hardware / electronics, and i have to say thats not overwhelming to me. Steering servo. https://www.hpiracing.com/en/part/120018 ESC. https://www.hpiracing.com/en/part/114712 Tx / Rx https://www.hpiracing.com/en/part/105381 / https://www.hpiracing.com/en/part/116504 Clearly that servo are wayyyyyy underpowered That ESC i really dont know reading on it i dont really read some things i would like to read about a scaler ESC. Tx / Rx dont look too bad, and a actually like the look of the Rx. But i think its safe to say that experienced scalers will probably also use something else in their arsenal even if they will not put on accessories that need more channels. Also i am beginning to doubt the statement in that youtube video that it will be out for summer 2017, some sites have it listed as in stock late august and that's damn near to the end of the summer months by my reckoning. Still i decided to not upgrade to the trx-4 as my friend have that and for what its worth the venture are a little cheaper but it will be at least a month before i can drive it I do have the servos i need ( Hitec 7954SH + BEC ) and if need be i can pull my Holmes ESC from my TF2 as that have entered my "hate" list with the addition of the K5 hardbody making it a POS to drive. HPI need to get the finger out i think |

I've started a thread in the General 1.9 scale rigs section (My HPI Venture is on it's way...), I've mentioned the servo and some other issues that are a concern to me. I've got on on pre-order from RPP Hobby so I'll update that thread the moment it arrives...

HPI is good at promises but don't seem to come through, the 5R has been just around the corner for 2 years. Supposedly HPI's new owner was going to come through on product but hasn't changed a thing.

And at this rate who knows how much longer HPI will be around. The simply can't keep mismanaging everything and expect to be around in the future.

Nice how the lexan body flaps around and you can see right through the wheel openings. Quite meh after the trx4. Still the drivetrain is more scale than what axial has to offer. |

| Re: No HPI Venture That's all lexan bodies that don't have inner fenders which is most of them. You can't knock HPI for that.

If it's capable, I think people will still buy it. It's nice to be running something different from everybody else sometimes.

But after the trx4 it's really a bit blaah. If only HPI had got their act together a year ago... Still I'd much rather get the Venture than an Scx10.2.

| Re: No HPI Venture Because I can't remember when I last saw a video by an rc manufacturer that showed flapping lexan on a scale crawler. Just shows how half arsed the video is. What were they thinking when putting that in the video. Same with all the low shots showing the scenery through the wheel arches. So sorry for not spelling it out on my first post. |

You know, after seeing this truck on social media , looks real promising, and I would like to know who's gonna be first to make all the aftermarket hop-ups for this truck .
