Default Question on 4 link set up

Do upper and lower link's need to stay parallel with each other?This not working

No, your links won't be parallel, you might be thinking of a panhard bar. When you use a panhard bar, you want it to be parallel to the steering link. On a 4-link, your top links should go from the top of the pumpkin to the inside of the frame on each side. The bottom links will go from each side of the axle to the center skid.

They are set up that way they but they don't work right.I think i need to lower the upper links where they mount to frame.The pinion angel changes way to much.

Raising them at the axle will help pinion angle change also. Play around with it until you find the sweet spot you desire, link geometry is different on every rig due to many factors... Center of gravity, instant center, roll center, the amount of squat/anti squat you put into the geometry will drastically effect the capabilities of the rig.

I usually set mine up with .25" vertical separation from centerline of axle to center of rod end per 1.00" of tire. Meaning, if my tire is 4" I will have 1" of vertical separation at the axle.

Its a ballpark area and you can tune from there.
