It's an interesting and odd choice to make a kit, but I'm all for kits! And this is kind of a beginner kit which is great. "thumbsup" to Horizon for this!

A kit that includes electronics. They took a page from Tamiya's book. It works for me.

Longer mini based axle housings, interesting. Perhaps I could widen my Losi with those axles.

Too much extra bits included with the kit, I might have been interested in a kit version without all the rtr included electronics.

Other than this 390 motor, what other company makes these size cans, and are they as good as a 540 ? Probably not, I wouldn't know that's why I'm asking, get to learn more...you know

Or rename to something like "ECX Barrage 1.9 Unassembled Kit"

this would be perfect if it was out like... NOW. my son turns 9 in 2 weeks, he wants a barrage and this would have been ideal with the better axles, outboard shocks, etc...
gonna have to get those parts as uh, "spares" ;)

I believe the 390 motor mounts can fit 380. For 380 your best options would be Axial Yeti Jr 380 40t Motor w/ matching 10t pinion gear, Traxxas Titan 380 16t with matching pinion gear (imo this motor is too fast for crawling), or if you wanted to do something outrageous go for the Traxxas Brushless system out of the 1/16 slash. Totally unusable for crawling though as it is a non sensored motor.
