Re: Thunder Tiger anybody Another Toyota Hilux body... whee. Apologies to everyone who likes them, but I could go for a bit more variety :) |
Re: Thunder Tiger anybody Why? Toyotas are the bestest. |

Re: Thunder Tiger anybody The Thunder Tiger is 1/12th scale, listed at $219... 380 motor. They have a video that shows it in action, looks quite capable - runs completely submerged at one point. Personally, I'm not interested in 1/12th though - I'd prefer a MSX, Deadbolt or the upcoming HPI even at $60-$90 more. |

They need to, but the classic Toyota lines look better to me. 1st gen Tacos and older are the best looking Yoders to me. I'm more interested in what's below the throw away cheap body of the Thunder Tiger. The lines of it look 'off' a little and it resembles a cheap copy. It's got a little bit of the old Datsun shape to it. Any one of the classic Land Cruisers from the 70 series Pigs down to the old J20 would have been better, IMO. Or please the new generation owners and use the current square fendered Tacomas. |
Re: Thunder Tiger anybody https://youtu.be/pecdIy99HGc the video... It looks really small, but I already wouldn't know how a 1/12th crawler should look, looks smaller than the barrage |
Thunder Tiger anybody It looks small but is supposed to. I can deal with that to be able to use static model bodies as long as the rest of it is a solid platform. Is it just me, or is the rear bumper crooked in every shot from the rear? |
Re: Thunder Tiger anybody https://youtu.be/dPDzMrHFHsY I guess this has been around for awhile now a few videos on this truck |

Any specs revealing the wheelbase on this Thunder Tiger? |
Re: Thunder Tiger anybody |
Re: Thunder Tiger anybody with that length it might actually fit under a Marui Big Bear shell giving one of the rare ways to make a Nissan/Datsun 720 pickup scaler... |

Those brands must have cheap licensing fees or something. |

Re: Thunder Tiger anybody If only Tamiya would build a proper scaler Chassis that would fit under the Brat/ Ranger/ Midnight Pumpkin/Lunchbox shells. Also rework those bodies & the Isuzu Mu/ Amigo, or Pajero to better accept lights & such. |
Re: Thunder Tiger anybody ^^^ Agreed, except for me the strong urge come over me when I look at Lowride Pumpkin bodies - I don't care for the bed design of the Midnight version, with the protruding boxes and rollbar. |
Re: Thunder Tiger anybody Anybody know what size the wheels are? I hope 1.55... I have googled and watched like 5 unboxing vids but everyone just says "oh neat wheels!" |

The MST CMX and CFX fit CC01 bodies, are the above bodies similar size? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Thunder Tiger anybody I think pumpkin and lunchbox are barely over 8 inch wheelbase. I have seem them called 1:16 scale? But seriously, i cant find any info on the thunder tiger hilux wheel size? |
