There has to be some irony in modeling the truck after a pre-runner but giving it the most non-scale looking axle possible. I'd really like to see how this thing handles with better rubber, because it's such a weird combo of huge unsprung weight in the back while all the sprung weight is up front. I don't know why they also made the trailing arms so hollow either.

It’s like a Grasshopper Extreme!

I wonder where Kyosho sells this stuff, or rather, who’s buying it?

Yep, definitely taking it back to the '80's with this one.

Damn. I thought it was a 4wd MOA axle at first. Not a 2wd.

So, a 2wd solid axle MOA truck. Seems like the perfect answer to a question that nobody asked.

Look no further than the toy aisle of your local Walmart for other MOA's in this class. Maybe for $150, but definitely not $229. I watched another Kyosho video after that, with their "new" Mad Crusher monster truck, and they forgot to edit out the part when the front axle taco'd off a 2' jump around the 1:45 mark... seriously had me going until then 34253B Mad Crusher VE EP-MT 4WD Readyset

I'm not trying to hate on them, I reeeaaalllyyy wanted to buy a FOXX, but I got cold feet due to the lack of aftermarket part support. At least Kyosho still has a very broad spectrum of vehicles. This "Outlaw Rampage" truck looks right on par with most of Tamiya's lineup, and anybody who's been around rc for more than a decade or two should have an appreciation for that!

a better axle could have been used... I forsee no aftermarket support and this wont be on the shelves for long. I honestly would rather build my own with a lightweight d lux axle. but.. I have my TLR 22 2.0 I run with still. would be cool to use a "live axle" truck in 2wd mod sct though. as I do still run my Baja rey in 4x4 sct.... im getting farther back in the pack. ive maxed out the tuning capabilities in the truck. I know these solid axle trucks are not meant for racing, but its the only fun I get out of racing anymore.

on a side note, I wouldn't mind adding 2 of these trucks on my shelf.

Well I disagree with that. Lots of us want a 2WD pre-runner. Nobody wants an MOA go-fast rig though. They did scale half-assed. Typical Kyosho if you ask me. They make odd rigs and ask way, way too much for them. The gullwing A-arms crack me up. They are just wrong.

The running video makes them look fun, but they will be priced way too high and nobody supports Kyosho in the US. And no aftermarket company will support this truck.

I ****ing give up. Sometimes YouTube embed works on this site and sometimes it doesn't.

To your own point, who's asking for a MOA 2wd prerunner? Anybody? Bueller? Bueller?

2WD prerunner: Cool.
2WD solid axle MOA abomination: Uhhh...

i'd buy one second had at a decende discount and throw a space rear axle on it with a mid trans, could be a good base for a fun truck if bought cheap enough.

yeah I was really excited about this until I saw it was RWD MOA. if it was RWD with a mid engine ala yeti/bajarey/twin hammer... I probably would go for it.

BUT

that's one ugly axle for what could have been a really awesome, albeit niche, 2wd prerunner market.
dernit.

If there was a motor/transmission/driveshaft setup that would fit in the spot where the receiver box is, and an axle that would work with that setup, it'd be kind of neat little truck actually.
