Well the shocks don't look like the normal TF2, silver shocks.

If this is a TF3 I'm going to be pissed because I just bought the TF2.

Did anyone pick Marlin Crawler edition of the TF2 RTR in their guess the new product pool?

RC4WD Marlin Crawlers Trail Finder 2 RTR w/Mojave II Crawler Body Set

Looks like a nice upgrade over the regular RTR but I'm the most excited about the possibility of buying a pre-bobbed bed for my TF2.

No I was honestly hoping for a 1.9 TRO wheel. lol

Also just noticed it has round headlights like a tamiya...nice. Always liked those over the square.

Looks like they STILL haven't given the bed the proper interior depth, as in- if you could open the scale tailgate, the floor of the bed should be level to the tailgate. Just a detail that I always see that is overlooked.

Or an old SJ, CJ-8, or FJ. I had to Wiki their designations of the SJ and CJ-5, both of which my two uncles have one of. Then stumbled across the FJ.

That's freakin sweet! Transfer skidplate/mount has some slots cut in it, but doesn't say high clearance or anything that I found.

It is the high clearance version.

Another big overhyped let down. It doesn't even look like the truck they based it off of. Notice the doors. That is the defining feature of this truck compared to a normal Toyota pickup. And they ignored this feature.

It's cool that they added round headlights, but they look so out of place. The big, tacky bezel looks out of place and it was obviously an afterthought to get the round headlights.

Other than that it's a TF2 with crap I don't want like a pathetic 3000 mAh LiPo and ugly, stamped wheels.

Come on RC4WD. It's time for a new hard body if not an entirely new or updated chassis.

The defining feature of a Marlin Crawler is it's transfer case, and the insane 1068:1 reduction he runs. The doors weren't always like that either:

There's a lot of new junk in this truck that you're missing (bobbed bed, pre-painted black drop bed, new new grille with radiator, high clearance skid, marlin roll bar, and METAL front bumper). Mechanically, sure it's essentially the same, but it's a pretty cool release for an RTR.

I wasn't expecting to get that transfer case on an RC so the body was the next best thing. RC4WD is comparing their truck to the one with the modified doors on Facebook. They made that comparison not me.

It has some cool stuff. I do like the rollbar. I don't like the bobbed bed. I just think if you're going to hype a vehicle the bar should be set higher. But every new release is teased and hyped these days.

I guess RC4WD hasn't built a time machine yet for their promo photos. Adding those cut doors would require them to do a full interior, and you're not going to see that in an RTR. Plus, it gives us modification dudes something to do.

Agreed bobbing beds and comp cutting doors is actually fun if you take the time to learn and do it.

Is it possible, they've just stuck the LWB bed on a RWB trail finder?
