Default New RC4wd TF2 spinoff?

This morning on the RC4WD Instagram page I found what might be an 81 Toyota TF2 spinoff.

RC4WD said they had a big announcement coming. Maybe it's the TF3. If so I will be really annoyed since I just bought the 2. The round headlights look much better on these Toyota trucks IMO.

I agree, but I might be biased since my dad had a blue '81 Toyota pickup. But I'd totally buy myself a TF3 for Christmas.

Unless rc4wd has stepped up their distribution game, anything announced before mid October probably won’t be available til January or February.

they did do a facebook live thing yesterday. (that I missed by 30 minutes... give aways and everything)
that would have been a perfect chance to announce a new rig.
consider me interested. I've always liked their stuff and I would love to get my hands on something with leafs.

I'm guessing a complete new body or front end for Mojave. By looks of it the grille is see through so maybe a new faux engine?

I have no knowledge, just guessing.

It's funny, back in 2010 when I designed the square light Toyota grille (later gave it to RC4WD), everyone wanted that one.

I don't recall seeing many rectangle light versions of that era Toyota pickup, they're always round lights around here.

1982/83 Hilux I think.

At the time only the Tamiya round light body was available so I designed it as a option for the Tamiya body. The original Mojave body front ends fit the Tamiya body.

The Mojave body with the Tamiya grille is still something I want to build, eventually for the nostalgia factor

I love the round headlights so much that I converted my 83 1:1 crawler and my 83 1:1 daily driver
