| Class 2 Tyres and foams options I am considering which tyres and foams to use on a class 2 rig in the UK. Her's a few questions: 1. Pitfall growlers - what are the standard 2 stage foams like? Or is it better to get the CI ones.. 2. Interco sx swampers list @ 121mm and the rules say 120mm.... Waddayareckon?? 3. Voodoo KLRs - what compound are folk running? 4. Ci foams - I assume it'l be medium and softs? I've also seen quite a bit of talk about Proline Hyrax - what do folk reckon?. Any other performance oriented tyres ? Or what's fave out of my above list?.. Thanks... |

I recently replaced my stock growler foams... Stock foam is the fat dual stage's. Dirty richards replace them. |

Looking good.... So, went with KLRs and lil novas soft/medium. Definitely would have got the pitbull rock beasts but they were just silly money over the others and had to draw the line... Still interested in feedback on tyres and foams if anyone wants to give their opinions...... cheers.. |

TSLs work great everywhere, great scale look too. Voodoo, thanks but no thanks....I'll pass, lugs tend to fold over a lot especially in soft compound and not very scale look. Pro-Line or CI foams, I prefer single stage firm, but some like two stage with firm innner foams. Edit: I go for tires scale looks, but they need to work reasonably well too. I’ve run the tsl and the Hyrax. I feel they needed different foams, as the grip was different. I crawl rip rap and pea gravel/sand. The tsl excelled in the gravel, fast and stable, with CI DW while the Hyrax benefited with the DD also from CI. Both trucks are heavy, I think the Hyrax’s would wear quickly with DW, but that’s an opinion not fact Hang up and Drive |
