It wouldnt make sense for them to come out with an oddball size truck. Body choices would be limited. Sticking with the standard was the smart move. Sure, there is a growing segment who want smaller, but most of us want a standard size so body and accessory choices are abundant. Summer here is down time for me. Its just too darn hot. This fall I might be pretty tempted to pick one up, but I gotta get some work done to the Jeep first. |

oddball size truck? I don't think any of the Tamiya bodies are oddball size.. hmm.. wonder what bodies started the scale movement in the firstplace... sure the blackfoot body is infact on the small side. the ripper was a proper class 2 release.. then followed by this "industry standard" release. maybe ill just pick one up and sell the axles from underneath it to somebody who wants them. |

Join date...I built my first scaler off TLT axles and a shortened Clod body. At this point in time, yes that is an oddball size. Axial pretty much set the standard as far as width/wheelbase and most scalers stay with that size (with slight wheelbase changes here and there).

anyone considered running 1.55s on their origin? Curious what it looks like... My tamiya bodies always looked spot on with smaller wheels/tires. I received mine 2 days ago and refuse to open the seal until I have a worthy set of rolling stock! Wish I could find a set of licenses VP 1.9s but they've been out of stock for what seems years? Having a hard time choosing... LockedupRC thescaleshop motoworx |

I've always thought the gearhead 1.55s looked the best...

| Re: How about something new ?? There are adjustments at the front of the chassis. No need to flip it around.

The added height in the rails allow for a much lower ride height and additional up-travel. IMO makes it more than just another SCX with curries under it. | |

It has been discussed and I did some google image reasearch and determined it is based on a 68ish scout minus the front marker/turn signals under the grill.

It's definitely closer to a Scout. When they were running teaser images it was harder to tell whether it was a Bronco or Scout, but after they revealed... you can see the grille details and such pointing towards the Scout.

While I can see a heavy IH Scout flavor, I still see some of this mixed in the batch. |
