I ordered a couple sets of the cheap ebay AR60 CVDs to try cutting down to size. I haven't gotten around to installing them yet, but I'm skeptical that they'll work with the HSP lockers. The diameter of the CVD shafts is small enough that it won't fill the openings of the HSP lockers. Converting to Axial-compatible lockers will probably work, but that drives the cost up. If there's a Wraith CVD with a wider axle shaft diameter, it would probably work OK with the HSP lockers, but again, it drives the cost up. |

Just search Amazon for "ar60 axle" or "ar60 cvd" should be $10-12 dollars a set. For 2 trucks you will need 4 sets (2 sets per truck as you only can use the long side that needs to be cut down and ground into a tang), so you will be spending $40 to $50 to upgrade both front axles. Below are 2 examples of set on Amazon. I would also buy lockers as the plastic stock lockers are going to strip out after only few uses as well. HSP locker 180009 is a direct stock replacement for these axle housings (the 3rd and 4th links below). This upgrade requires doing some metal cutting and reshaping of the new long ends axle shafts. I hope this helps. https://www.amazon.com/RZXYL-Univers...%2C196&sr=8-12 https://www.amazon.com/Treal-Heavy-S...%2C196&sr=8-31 https://www.amazon.com/BQLZR-Silver-...S7JKZPCKVZXSSV https://www.amazon.com/Hobbypark-Alu...3960545&sr=8-1 |
