Very cool. Boom racing has been putting out some interesting stuff as of late. They've definitely got the "crawler bug" just like all of us.

These are the first Boom Racing axles that have actually impressed me.

AR44 gears with keyed spools in an axle housing that can fully tuck under narrow bodies with either links or leafs. Sounds like everything I have ever wanted.

The axles are up on Asiatees for preorder.

Reading the specs list, it pretty much covers all the bases... Very nice. Have a lot of smaller bodies that this would be perfect for.

Can we kill the red pumpkins already? We can thank Axial for that horrible trend.

Are the housings metal or plastic. They appear to be plastic, but that could be a prototype or they cast a cool texture into the axle housings.

Paint will fix the color, but agree all black would be better especially on Toyota style axles. Looks like powder coated metal to me.

I'm surprised only a few people have caught on to narrowing 10.2 axles. Beef Tubes sells narrowed tubes and housings.

Also I agree, red diff covers are not the best!

I did it without tubes so its not a necessity to have them.

putting leafsprings on the front housing would not do anyone good. you would lose a lot of steering do to how close the leaf mounts to the knuckle. I can even see a 3.8 tall tire catching on the leafs hard.

though.. its just as easy to buy and narrow a set of ascender axles and get the offset pumpkin.

I need a set of narrow axles for a tamiya build I'm planning on starting (subaru brat). I've been looking for some reviews of these by people that have gotten their hands on them. Anybody seen a build thread using them?
