there is some CC hand and wertymade stuff. still tempting to get one of these to sort of tinker and run trails. someday. i would probably stretch mine and make it a super cab, like my 1:1 2019 F150.

but yeah i don't know why its not on RC4WD's site anymore. parts are, just not the rig.

All i know is JDMoldels makes this rig and RC4WD sells it but i don’t see any parts anywhere. its a weird partnership and makes me not want any of their rigs.
I assumed all I’d need to do to find parts is look up JDModels directly but I couldn’t find their website. Maybe its under a different name?

Is the Team Raffee stuff interchangeable or just the body?

I have one and as far as I can tell, everything is proprietary to the truck. Maybe the only thing you can swap out is the transmission. The leaf springs are shorter than Tamiya/RC4WD, the front coilover springs are a smaller diameter than any 1/10 shock, Driveshafts are pretty standard though.

I just gave mine some 2.2 Rockstar knock-offs, 3D printed lift kit (in the front only), longer shackles in the rear and wheel spacers; I dub thee.... BroRunner. Because what else can you do with it? Its awesome to look at and drive accurately to scale, but it isn't great at anything else.

2 years later, I'm still looking for a driver's side windshield wiper...

Have you contacted RC4WD support? When some parts broke on my JD Models Dakar truck (RC4WD just resales them), they were able to get replacement parts and mail them to me. I had to pay for the parts of course.
Just a thought.

I haven’t tried RC4WD mostly because it may be a lost cause. It doesn’t hurt to check, but my thoughts being that the Hero wasn’t on the market for long and JDModels’ actual website seems like vaporware. I’m surprised no one has just 3D printed a replica that you could find on Shapeways or Thingiverse.

Unless... you wanna help me out, Shane. 🙂
