That's why I can't get interested in it. Sure it'll be scale, but it doesn't look to be all that capable. That's exactly why RC race buggies aren't scale. It wouldn't work well.

Reading between the lines Big Squid hinted the announcement in the next couple of weeks or so.

If this is close to the dimensions of the new bright raptor body, I'm in as I have an extra one laying around. It would make a nice shelf rider in my office.

I still think its going to cost between 1 and 2 thousand.

Official pages are up too. It'll be interesting to see what people do with them, but in the photos they look to be made from a lot of plastic. A lot. And the body looks very much like a toy.

Well it appears to be mostly plastic - even the chassis - so I don't think the price is that great if that's the case.

True. If it’ll do any sort of off-roading maybe the aftermarket will catch up with bits and pieces. At least HR maybe or GPM.

Just looking at the photos I can dig up online, the chassis seems to be metal. Cross members and the front IFS seem plastic.
I have the JD/RC4WD Dakar truck and like the mix of scale and RC. The selectable locker and HI/LO speed is a fun feature. The selectable lockers will be cool on this pickup. The Dakar is cool shelf rig and fun to scale drive around. I knew that when buying it and have the same expectations with this pickup.
