| Need some help picking a truck
So far all of my rigs have been really detailed hard body's that I love to drive alot but I would like to have a beater truck to play with. So I have narrowed it down to 3 trucks, now I won't be competing or anything with them just trail runs and crawling around. It's between the new axial umg10 kit, redcat gen8 scout and the traxxas trx4 blazer. I am having a hell of a time picking one. What would you guys pick and why. Thanks for any help

TRX4 Bronco or Blazer hands down. The TRX4 is the current state of the art in scale crawlers.

| Re: Need some help picking a truck WHOA! That is very intresting advice. For the trucks on the market currently on the market The Trx4 is a top choice for quality. The Axial Scx10II is a very solid rig with absolutely tons of aftermarket support, and the Ascender is kind of right in the middle. All three have lots of aftermarket and none are a bad choice in my opinion. They all have weaknesses and they all have strengths. Axial' s plastics are up for much debate. Traxxas electronics, and complexity is probably its biggest shortfall. Vaterra has torque twist and requires a shorty pack in the non Suburban chassis. Others will chime in I am sure. |

| Re: Need some help picking a truck wait a month!? another proline by the fire rig reveal? (last year it was the Vanquish VS4-10.) glad i popped in here. i have had my finger on the trigger for a 1.9 wraith... i think. if i had to choose something else... i admit the trx-4 is awesome and i'd probably go for a sport kit. BUT i don't like portal axles. just a weird personal preference. that said... i really don't know what else i would get. so, i suppose i wait... Last edited by Shinchu; 04-30-2019 at 01:49 PM. |

Thanks for your input guys, I have decided on a trx4 but now I need to choose between a sport or a bronco. I love the looks of the bronco but not so much the sport body and I don't really care for the locking and unlocking of the diffs. I do like the idea of having a 2 speed transmission so I guess I have some more thinking to do.

I also wanted 2-speed but no locking diffs... Went with the Tactical as I really liked that. Also bought 2 lockers for €10 each and sold the diffs and servo assembly for €50 |

TRX4 Sport kit. The best value in crawlers out there.

OR you could buy the trx-4 kit, and a clear bronco body so you have clear windows and any color you want, then add the parts for a 2 speed. either way you are getting what you want, for less than the cost of a bronco RTR. (depending on what electronics you buy) | |
