I have a project i'm planning (cross bc8 mammoth) that is going to include sound and exhaust. I believe I have a sound unit identified but i'm not sure about what smoke unit will work best. I've seen a couple builds on here that have smoke generators but not a lot of detail on the brand they used. if anyone has experience with these I would appreciate inputs. it needs to be fairly small and able to handle lots of bouncing. (I know model trains use these but I've read they perform best on stable/level platforms) |

Better late, then never: TARR Smoker mk1 Though not the smallest. It’s used extensively by tankers. Built by some polish guy. Sturdy, and plenty smoke, even on 7.2v The one with the metal housing is the smallest. Check fleabay for ‘tarr smoker mk1’ If that’s too big, modifying a small Heng Long smoker by using just the reservoir, and a small fan would work too. Here’s a ‘how to: https://www.rctankwarfare.co.uk/foru...p?f=38&t=22406 Last edited by Jay-Em; 07-08-2019 at 09:05 AM. |
