Toyota Sunrader 4x4

I've been fiddling with this idea for little while and finally started it. I'm hoping for lights and a detailed interior all around.

Sort of a cross between these 2 ideas...



Started by lengthening a TF2 chassis a little and modifying the leave springs to get everything to sit right.

Nice start, what rear wheels are those ?

Whats the front and rear track width to the outside edge of the tires ?

The rear wheels are semi duelly's I picked up from ebay.

Fronts are custom modified from RC4WD 1.7 Steelys painted white and reversed with some Gmade plastic beadlocks, turned down to fit inside.

Front width is about 8.4" (212mm), rear is 9.3" (235mm)

Maybe in the spring. Work is taking it's toll on me.

Well...I didn't mean spring in a couple of years, but...ok.

Kinda had this shelved for a while, but then...RC4WD came out with the 4Runner body. My original plan was to do this with a mid 80's body rather than the Tamiya Hilux styled body. This is the way it should look.


So, I snatched up one of the new 4Runner bodies and look what happened...it's now a 2Runner and the proper cab for this truck. Got a long way to go on this still, and I may have recruited my wife to help with the interior. I would like to do interior lights, but I haven't learned that yet. 3SPDREKR did an incredible 5th wheel camper, but I can't seem to find the build thread. I have no plans for the bed, so if somebody is looking to do a pickup, PM me. That's all for now.
