Default 1:18? 1:20? Help me find a RTR chassis for this Jurassic Park Mercedes ML320

Hey guys, long time no post..

What I'm trying to do is add a 4x4 chassis underneath this The Lost World Jurassic Park Mercedes Benz AAV (ML Class, or M-Class, or ML320.) I am building it for a YouTube project in which I'll be recreating one of my favorite movie scenes of all time, when "Eddie" uses the Mercedes to attempt to save the massive mobile command center / Fleetwood RV with trailer from going over the cliff.

I don't actually need it to be able to flex or have big gnarly suspension. I am aiming to make it as movie accurate as possible. The 4wd is needed only for screen accuracy, as the AAV definitely has all 4 wheels spinning in reverse.

I've tried going to a local hobby shop and blindly ordering a couple cheap RTR 4wd toys that should have been to scale, but have been unsuccessful.

I would estimate the scale on this body to be about 1:16, as it is slightly larger than my 1:18 Maisto diecast Mercedes ML-320.

Any help would be appreciated. I am looking for something RTR as I am not crafty enough to build my own chassis from scratch, nor would I even know where to begin, lol.

I will keep you guys posted with the build.

For looks and size I would look into the RC4WD 1/18 Mini Gelande if you want all metal or for half the price the HobbyPlus CR-18

Heh, funny you mention those two.. After posting this thread, I went searching and I stumbled upon both of those units. I'm leaning more towards the CR-18 because the wheelbase and trackwidth are much closer to the body than the Gelande's are. I'd hate to spend over $200 to then chop it up and try to stretch the wheelbase. I definitely don't trust myself to do that!

Ended up ordering the Hobby Plus CR-18. Pretty excited to get it in and move this project along!
