Harley has been quoted as saying he should attempt to better his rusty hardbody building skills...

The body is "only" $200 plus shipping, considering the detail level and the fact that the new Axial '50s Ford truck body parts equal more than $100 I think it's a relative steal.

I could only imagine a build on a VS4-10 chassis!

That's sweet looking for a hard body. A bit pricey for what I wanted. Was hoping for a lexan body, light weight and something I dont have to worry about beating up. Hopefully one day we'll see a lexan body out there.

The more I look at the body the more I think that it deserves a stretched SSD Trail King chassis for ultimate scale looks - get an actual scale motor detailed under the hood!

Was watching Harley's scale news the other day. And he mentioned that proline had something in the works for a 12.3 wheelbase. Checking out proline website and they even show a coming soon with a part number. Hope the proportions look good. If all turns out good looking I've got a scx10.2 waiting for a body. This would be prefect... crossing my fingers.

From the more recent sneak peak photos it looks like they are stretching the appearance by using fairly wide fender flares. I think thats a decent approach but could mean a pretty narrow body. Could be good for performance. Maybe a shortened overhang too.

Hopefully it turns out better than im seeing so far. I havent seen any pics but looking at dimensions, it is a full inch narrow at the doors (overall) than the rc4wd tacoma body, which is crazy narrow already. With the flares it is a hair wider than the Taco. With a 12.3 wheelbase and 18in length I think the overhang will be similar as well with the front end of a jeep so short anyways. Hope im wrong though. Are there pics out then?

I'm just hoping it does not look stupid and the proportions look pretty good. I'm excited to see this gladiator body. Wonder how much longer we have to be kept waiting. I've even thought about doing a rc4wd Tacoma body on it too. Maybe I'll just have to get both bodies.

Me too. I hate the 1:1, but like this body.

It's a rare, new body from Proline that looks better than the 1:1. Proline has been missing the mark lately with their odd proportions.

That proline body is the worst! Looks like I designed it in CAD. Proportions are way off.

I hear ya, man.

Looks perfect for a Stampede/Maxx/Arrma (whatever) monster/basher truck.

Not that there's anything wrong with that - but it states right on their site:

"for 12.3" (313mm) Wheelbase Scale Crawlers"

The word "scale" is repeated over and over in the description - but this ain't it.

And the paint job!

Szczerba, I think you designed it in CAD and I painted it - at some drunken party that neither of us now remember being at.

We really did a fine job around the windows...

(IMHO, of course! )

Ah, Pro-Line... what happened to you guys?

Well, keep on making tires, at least.

Finally. I really love it. The proportions look a little off, but I can live with it. Maybe it's just me but I'm having a hard time judging some of the lines in that body with the color choice. they ran with. Now I just have to sit back and wait for my lhs to get some of theses in.

But that's no different than any Proline body released in the last couple of years it seems.

I think with trying to fit it to this platform and size in general is tough to get completely right. Imo it's still pretty good and looking to pick one up soon.
