Wrangler hard body and ssd scale trans fitment.

Picked up a Jeep wrangler hard body off of Ebay not thinking I had to do to much work to get it on and looking right. I ended up pulling everything out of the scx10.2 to get the body to sit low enough.

I managed to get the cantilever suspension in the rear working good with some revo parts. But the motor/ transmission is gonna be tight. I was thinking a few different ways. A planetary gearbox up front to a original scx10 transmission on its side at the skid plate. Or the SSD scale trans. The ssd from the pictures iv seen looks like it might sit to tall in the frame and would hit the hardbody, and I'm not planning on trimming the body.

Has anyone done this combo and had it work for them, or can you mount the ssd transmission lower then picture shows it is sitting at?

I'd just expect to spend some time modding stuff, whichever route for the trans you go.

Yeah I know I'm going to have mod stuff either way I go. I was hoping to get some feedback from maybe someone who had used the ssd scale transmission and a hard body that has a full interior. Don't want to spend 150$ on a transmission to find out after im struggling with it that I should have gone a different route.

A while ago I built an SCX10 with the New Bright Jeep body and SSD scale transmission - it fits fine. Plenty of room for the interior.

Alright thanks for the feedback, guess I'll give it a try.
