| Been out of scale RC's for awhile.
About 8 years ago I used to be much more active here...even joining a hardbody build contest. I have been MIA for quite a long time due to new house, wife, kid, etc. I'm trying to see if I'm still interested but finding that I might as well be a noob since I can't really remember what I have or what is good. I have 3 scale crawlers...all SCX10 based with custom hard bodies. 1 is a home built Isuzu Rodeo(to reflect my 1:1 crawler) 1 is a Hilux crew cab(slightly different then most with the rear door going into the wheel well) and an H3 New Bright I converted to an extra cab with tube bed. The electronics is where I always struggled. I guess I need to start either putting them together or selling stuff off....just not sure which way to go. Sorry...I guess I'm just rambling and trying to find myself now that I have so much less time with the family and no real friends into much of what I am i to.....it makes it hard to get excited to start back up . I've been into scaling for 5 years or so and I've never loved RC as much. That's because I've found guys to do it with. I also got my dad into it. I most likely would have gotten bored with this segment of the hobby long ago had I not found people to do it with. So I completely understand what you're saying. With that being said, this forum and even Facebook groups are great ways to meet people to go crawling and trailing with. I met my trailing buddies via this and another forum. There are so many more rigs and so many more options for scale trucks these days. It's an exciting time to get back into it. Nothing lights my fire like building a new kit. I'm not sure if the same is true for you. |

Welcome back around here. Understand that, it's tough trying to manage, family, work, house, and life in general. For me, ita my boy and me that get out and play with the trucks. It's a great time to get out and forget other stuff that goes on. It also helps that I have a few friends that are into the hobby as well, just makes it that much better. Hopefully you can reach out and find some others that can share this hobby of ours.
