Default Axial SCX10 III Jeep Gladiator

Hopefully there will be a long wheelbase. What do you think?

I imagine that is the announcement from the past week that Horizon delayed? Some titillating action out of the Losi camp these days.

Right!

Although it would be hilarious if the Gladiator had a scale looooooong wheelbase...

You had me at gladiator lol. I'll buy one. Hopefully it looks better than proline version of the body. Sweet find. Maybe that can be my 20th year anniversary present from the wife.

Apparently this is from a Horizon Europe new releases page that has been hidden but since the internet is in ink, there is still a cached version available on Google.

https://webcache.googleusercontent.c...=firefox-b-1-e

It is a treasure trove of upcoming cool toys:

-Losi solid axle monster truck
-Axial SCXIII Gladiator
-Axial SCX24 B17 Betty
-Losi Super Baja Rey 2.0 in King and Brenthel trims
-Losi Lasernut U4
-Arrma 1/5 short course truck
-Arrma Felony (an Infraction with a muscle car body)

I'm interested in just how scale-appearing the LaserNut will be.

Not too interested in the others, although the Arrma Felony might look really wicked - but I have no desire to have something that is really only designed for high-speed.....

I find that gets boring quickly.

Same. The Lasernut has my interest. I am hoping it isn’t oversized.

That could be real. Body proportions show the wheelbase is quite longer than JLU, but the bed rear overhang has been shortened compared to the real JT.
Nerf bars have a different raised shape after the rear door compared to JLU too.

Looks very real to me! It also looks appropriately long, unlike the smooshed Proline version.

It also looks like it's the first ever Gladiator on portal axles.

If that cab section on the Gladiator is the same size as the current JLU body, that has to be a 14-14.5 inch wheelbase. I will totally buy that body if it is actually as absurdly long as the 1:1 Gladiator.

I saw that same picture just a bit ago. Love it. The proportions look better than the proline version. I'll just shut shut up and take my money. I want one.

Definitely better looking than the Proline version, but I suppose Axial had the advantage of being able to increase the wheelbase of the truck to help with scale. Probably not something I'll buy because of the big rear overhang, but I'm glad they made it.

That looks a bit like Trail Recon's Gladiator before he took all the overlanding stuff off.

Are they really going to be using the same 2 colors as the RTR JL?
