Default 1/18 or 1/16 Spring Source

Recently read a thread on this forum about droop, extension, etc. Struck a note after just adjusting two of my motorcycles for sag and preload.

Started checking my fleet and was pleased to find that both Axials, a Wraith and an SCX24 both had about 50% droop. Good start. However, my recently purchased ECX Temper has 0 droop! Drop on bench or ground and it just sits. Obviously springs too strong.

OEM spring is 2.28" long, .475" diameter, and .027 wire. About 10 free coils. An online rate calculator indicates 13.6 oz/in and a crude measurement yielded 17 oz/in. Don't know which is correct, but at least in the same ballpark.

I would like to be able to purchase springs by dimension or spec, but have not found any sources. Can anyone chip in and suggest a supplier? Or might you know of a pre-packaged commercial spring more suitable?

Thanks for your help.
