Phildirt’s Garage Just a place to post my garage photos so they quit cluttering up my rig threads. Photo dump commencing. This diorama so far is made entirely of scraps, nuts, bolts, brackets, signs, caps, magazines, plastic, jars, and anything else I find lying around. I have a bin full of random objects and I rummage through it when I feel like creating something. It’s not perfect because it’s made on the fly. I generally measure and multiply an inch x 10 to see if I’m in the ballpark on things like counter tops etc. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Re: Phildirt’s Garage Very detailed! The nice touches with things like the sawdust on the drill press and all the shop wiring. Along with dirt/grime wear on the stairs, doors, and sink. Nice work! |
Re: Phildirt’s Garage This, IMO, is the best garage I’ve seen. Awesome work Phil Dirte lmao _________________ SCX10 ii TRX4 |
Re: Phildirt’s Garage I think one of the coolest things about a diorama like this is when you find yourself getting lost in all of the details the longer you look at it. I didn't even notice the sawdust so I had to go back and look. I really like the electrical cords/ plug, the sink details, drill press and bench grinder(?), overhead door details, welder/ regulator/ air hoses, and all the weathering/ wear details. Absolutely fantastic job. |
Re: Phildirt’s Garage Bugged the crap out of me that the pulley was fixed, so the boys booger welded an articulating end on it. Fully functional sort of, it moves haha. Airbrushing looks over the top but it’s wet, will fade as it dries. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...fb9f4d5198.jpg Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
Re: Phildirt’s Garage A view of the space. It’s not real big. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...616e861c7c.jpg Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Re: Phildirt’s Garage Love this garage, cant stop looking at it. What did you use for the mirror? Cant figure it out for the life of me |
Re: Phildirt’s Garage "Tin foil" or aluminum, really polishes to a mirrow finish. Tape a piece to some cardboard and polish, then add a border, and weather it. The garage looks very functional and nicely weathered. Would you say it's 2x3 or 2x4 feet? |

It is around 32” deep and 48” wide or so. I wish it was bigger but I’m reluctant to use up more bench space. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
Re: Phildirt’s Garage Glad to see you started a garage thread! Awesome job on rigging odds and ends together to make real looking scale items! Each time I see a new pic of it I'm blown away by the realism! Subscribed and following so I don't miss anymore of the scale garage coolness!:) |
Re: Phildirt’s Garage Hell ya dude! love what your doing with the garage, definitely a inspiration for me in the future. |
