Exclamation Micro crawler course build

So with the micro bug haven bitten me....

here we go..

Start of the micro crawler course...
Black lines are trails..intersecting to make multiple course lines.
Trails are 6in wide..at widest sections.
Planning for a bridge across the back section

Material list..
4x8 sheet plywood
Pond rock
River pebbles
Play sand
Motar thinset
Plaster cloth
Scrap wood for bridge
10x spray foam cans

Scale scenery items..
Trees
Logs
Rocks
Maybe some critters if I can find some

*will post pics as i add to it*

The plaster cloth 12in x 50ft roll
I think I'm barely gonna have enough..

Pan for slurry soaking
Bucket for clean water and adding water to pan
Thinset
Sand
Cut Plaster cloth cut into various sizes and widths.

I pick a section and work it till it's done or needs fillin strips.
The thinset requires constant stirring or the mix will settle.
Dip the cloth in..slurry over it good..remove and set,adjust..next and repeat.
Sprinkle some sand if it needs it.

It's a fast paced task..so have everything ready to rock beforehand.

a lil more progress..

Man... You don't mess around huh? Go big or go home. Really nice start to this course and looks like a great variety of obstacles, lines, etc.

I dig you r tire and wheel choice too.

FWIW Hobby Lobby has a good selection of fairly realistic critters if you have a store close to you.

I’m glad I found this. I’ve been wanting to build an indoor for my 1/24’s. Is it still holding up good?

Looks awesome. Definitely something great to have indoors. I'm thinking of doing the same hopefully this summer. It would be fun to be able to drive inside while it's nasty outside, especially in the winter.

Great little crawler course. You did a nice job making the rocks and terrain look very realistic.
