if anyone were serious enough to do it, all they need is an original hard body to 3D scan and duplicates can be then made from ABS, lexan, or other types of materials. i have been looking around the last few days and found some companies that will perform these tasks for a few hundred dollars. they will even give you a mold you can cast from if thats what you want. |

I currently have an experienced lexan body maker working on a Bruiser(Mountaineer) body repro. I dont know how long it is going to take but hopefully will be available this year. This was the reason behind the hilux badges I helped scaleoffroad with. Andysbodys: I would be willing to donate a Bruiser body if my current project is not successful. |

those body's are some of the most impressive things i've ever seen!! but how is there strength? if i roll one or crash one doesn't carbon fiber tend to be brittle? you should make a vette touring car body in fiberglass

| i don't think it's brittle because they use it on acing cars and stuff but it is very light and alot stronger than you'd expect.

maybe the prices between Europe and Australia for 3D scanning and rapid prototyping are a little bit different .... but can you please tell me the company in Australia who can make me a 3D scan of a detailed hardbody and a rapid prototyping mould in 1/10 scale for a few hundred dollars! Then I can use the few thousand dollars I save for the first class flight to australia Thank you Stefan

Ya I actually run the rapid prototype area at my work, so I could build an exact replica, but it wouldn't be very strong, but you could cast it and use it as a mold or something

Ya that will be sweet! You should be able to make it at least look like it like proline did with the bushwacker. Or I guess we could always just say they're original bruiser bodies that we've had all along!
