That's a longshot but maybe. Why waste your time doing that though when instead you can buy a set for $12?

why wouldnt it. just bend the "I"s and the leaf arch and youl have your self a set of leaf springs. if they flex to much just ad another leaf.

I used to make my leaf springs out of used hack saw blades. The bi-metal blades make better leaf springs because the metal will take more of a bend and still spring back. In other words DON'T use high carbon or high speed steel blades, they bend and stay bent. I ground them down to a 1/4" wide with a grinder but you have to keep the metal cool so it doesn't loose it's temper. To form the eyes, heat the metal cherry red and bend around a nail in a vise. It make take several heatings and bendings to complete the eye without breaking the steel. Yes it's time consuming but when you have a bunch of dull saw blades and plenty of time.........
