Default Hl tranny q?

I was thinking about the 3speed trans to day and was wornding if this would work..
I am buliding a trail runner bronco and want a little bit of speed could any body use a hl trans and use 1-2 for crawling/mud and 3ed for the sand and outher stuff?

Also what are the down's and ups on the hl trans?
I know you have to have a servo to shift it but i will have that coverd and would a 4ch mgt raido work to ship it?

I know that third gear with locked axels is hell on the little motor and it tends to bog down!!!

I would say the biggest downfall to the HL tranny is its size.
I haven't had a problem with mine bogging down in 3rd. But I don't use 3rd gear for anything but speed on flat surfaces.
You wouldn't climb a big hill in high gear with a manual tranny in a 1:1 anyway, would you. Same goes for the HL.

Who mentioned climbing a big hill in high gear... Mine bogs down is tight turns and on slight slopes (might be a weak motor)
