Here is a prview of a german company that will produce a lexan version of the mountaineer body. The moulding includes the screen and the interior. It says there, they hope to start production late september. http://rc-monster-trucks.de/include....0ad4448937da1d Cheers Pete |

I would much much rather have a hard body! ;) why doesn't anyone make a body even similar? Like proline did with the bushwacker? I'm surprised it hasn't been done...

As much as it's cool that there is gonna be a company or person(s) producing a lexan copy of the Mountaineer I would rather have the original hard body version by Tamiya. The Mountaineer body is a body with alot of detail one which the lexan would lack cause the body is one piece leaving the hobbyist to paint in the detail. A lexan version of either the Bruiser or Mountaineer just doesn't have me sold and would be alot different from the original due to detail and seperate parts, etc etc.

That is very true and a good point, Pete. But I am not sure how much a lexan copy of the shell would cost to produce vs a hard body copy. Cause if you think about it all we would need is the main body halfs itself because reproduction body parts such as grille, window, etc etc is already avaliable so all we would really need is the main body.

come on they see how 1/24 scale cars sell you'd think they' d jump on the band wagon making yotas chevys dodges and fords all hard plastic shells they'd make a fortune in 1/10 scale sell lets say body sets chrome and glass for small like jeeps ,rovers, old school broncos . 75 bucks medium scales excursion suburban land cruisers 90-95 bucks large scale chevy ford dodge dually andtoyotas xtra cabs 100-125 so im pricing on the high side copyright laws ,fees, cost of mfg. so who knows maybe some will one day hear our plea
