Default My Scale Snorkel How To

after searching for some scrap to make the snorkel out of i came across some old nylon roll cage from a 1/6 nylint body. i cut and heated the plastic up with a lighter to make the bend you see here. make sure not to keep the flame in one place or you will melt the plastic you just want it hot so you can bend it.

next i found an old shock spring retainer off a rc10.other spring retainer's may work.

i had to drill out the spring retainer to 1/4" so it would slide with a tight fit over the nylon tube.

i then pushed it on and added a drop of CA to help hold it.

after i did this i drilled a hole in the body and had to drill a hole in the nylon.make sure you drill into the nylon in a vertical fashion,do not follow the tubing as a guide and be careful as to how far you drill so you do not come out the other side.

once this is done check for fit and rebend where needed.

this i mine after i was finished. will still need some paint.

when i get it painted up i will post another pic.
