Default Top Truck Challenge

As some of you know, Rockpayne and I are tossing around the idea of doing a top truck challenge at his place. No rules, No specs, Nothing. We will do timed runs for everyone like a real top truck challenge and see who has the best combined time at the end of the day for bragging rights. Depending on how big this gets we might have a prize for the winner. Just an idea for now. Whos in?

motivation:

You should come play! we werent going to do any water, just some sloppy mud about axle depth to give it some sloppyness. Its definitely going to be more technical than most rc TTC's, but i plan on having some "watch this shit" moments

Murphy is a beautiful place. If it is in Murphy i will most certainly be there! I havent been since they shutdown all the good trails at Tellico. Before that i would go at least twice a year.

That sounds like a great idea but i will need more details before I can say if I can be there. When are you thinking about having the comp?

Sometime in April. I was hoping around the spring break weather, may even get pushed into may. When it gets a little closer i will post one thread in the comp section just like the scale safari

This would be a great chance to get out and meet some guys and to test your truck out. It will be a good time and not uptight. I have seen the course and I will be running my honcho through it. This is as much as a get together as it is a comp. I just do it for fun. I suggest you come and hang out.

As I said, there will be no rules. There wont be any penalties unless you break. We will do all the courses on time and distance, kind of like a hill climb is scored, which we will have. Im thinking if you have to reverse on a course, going in reverse on a course isnt forward progression and your just hurting yourself. The only thing im concerned with is having different classes. Run 2.2 and 1.9 classes to be fair, and lets have a ball.

Rusty may have a different idea, but as far as im concerned, run rear steer, run a 4 cell, or run all of the above with front and rear dig. I dont give a rat, and think it would be cool to see

Definitely up for a good get together. Hardly anyone around here. Been trying to find people to run with but no luck yet. Keep us posted on this.

TWO classes is a great idea. Would you be okay with the same truck running in both classes with a wheel and tire swap?
