Default Atlanta crawlers

This is our local website where we announce our competitions, get togethers, and general atlanta BS. If you are new, post an introduction, if you want to try to get together, post up over there. More people look on the local site than the regional section here. Just thought I would make it easier for you new ATL guys.

Hello everyone. I am new to scale crawlers. I just bought an Axial SCX10 Honcho from Hobbytown in Kennesaw Friday. I have currently have 5 rc's (including a really nice electric rustler on craigslist), but this is my first Axial. I went to Hiawassee this weekend after purchasing the Honcho and had a blast crawling through trails. Anyways, here is my new Axial:

So I haven't Posted in forever. Got a little busy! But I'm back! And my SCX10 has evolved even more so with some great mods. On top of that! I got a second SCX10 on trade for my old hpi drift car. Both SCX's have 20t pinions and 87t spur gears.

Here is the SCX10 I got on trade. It came with the following:

Honcho Body (I switched this to my main truck first thing so it now has my old Dingo body.
Hitec 5995 TG Servo! WOOHOO!
AE-2 ESC
axial 27t motor
Junfac axles
CNC aluminum alternate shock mount thingy.
axial 1.9 wheels with custom beadlock ring and wheel nuts.
Other than that it was stock!

Here it is pictured with my weighted axial 1.9 with IROKs

At this time I got this second SCX10, my main SCX10 had the following mods:
Solar D772 servo (strong but slowish)
Gmade 2.2 Air system wheels with 2.2 ripsaws
New Gens Ace 500mah 2s 40c LiPo (amazing pack!)
Same everything as before.

Here came the transformations!

Obviously I wanted to make one awesome truck. SO i put all the better things from my new truck onto my old.

My main SCX10 now has the following parts switched over:
Hitec 5995 tg Servo! I'm amazed at this servo. 7.0 volts via Castle BEC
Honcho body with trimmed fenders.
Gmade Air system wheels are now removed.
2.4 Ghz FlySky Radio system! Finally know fencing style antenna!!
Spooled no slop diffs

My second SCX10 I will let friends use with me now and will eventually sell it. It's just about as capable as my main rig. Just lacks the power, steering, and perfected suspension geometry.
It has the following as well:
Dingo body
Solar D772 Servo. Needs Castle BEC severly.
AE-2 ESC
27t motor
90mm shocks raised and angles inwards on alluminum mounts
Junfac Axles
Weighted 2.2 Gmade Air system wheels and tires
Traxxas 27mhz radio system
My old Duratrax Onyx 2s 5700mah 25c LiPo

I never thought having two SCX10's would be so fun. But I'm really enjoying messing with both making two great rigs

SIDE NOTE!

I got my dream CAR! 2002 Subaru WRX sport wagon.

Why don't we have a sticky for crawl spots? Seems like it could be useful for those looking for new spots to crawl in the area.

Haven't logged into FB in over a year. it seemed most were into drifters at that time.
Seems to be a small amount of recent interest here though.
