Kailua Kona hoppy shop?

Aloha!

I'm lucky enough to be on vacation on the Big Island, and my wife was smart enough to suggest I bring the crawler with me. (She's a keeper!)

Anyways, I twisted a drive shaft on the insane traction here, but I didn't bring any spares. Anyone know of a hobby shop in or around Kona (or even Hilo) that would have Jato shafts or just regular Traxxas shafts?

Any help would be much appreciated so that I can get some more time in before we leave.

Thanks... er, Mahalo!

In Kona is Tioli Creative Center 808-326-2820
In Hilo is RC Heaven 808-935-1199

I'm not sure if Tioli stocks those drive shafts but RC Heaven usually does; however, we buy them out all the time. If you called them and they have it in stock they'll hold it for you.

I'll be driving over to Kona on Saturday. I'm not sure if I have any spare jato shafts but I know for sure that I got stampede shafts and enough of them to make them longer. If you're still around on Saturday and haven't found a fix by then, let me know and I'll give you what you need.

Wow! What an amazing offer! Thank you so much. Unfortunately, we're outta here on Saturday morning or I would take you up on your offer.

I'll call Tioli and see if they have anything, or if we go back to Hilo I'll get in touch with RC Heaven. Funny thing is, I was within walking distance of RC Heaven about an hour before I killed the drive shaft yesterday.

Oh well... that's what I get for bringing zero spares with me on a trip 2700 miles from home. :ror:

You guys have some stellar crawl spots around here. And those are just the ones that a tourist found by accident. The hidden gems here must be epic!

Thanks again!

Yeah, I am lucky that my wife realizes that I am just a kid forced into his mid-thirties! Probably helps that she's 10 years younger than I am...

Also, thanks for the suggestion and the update on the Steakhouse. We're all (12 of us in a family get together) trying to figure out where to go for dinner tonight.

Oh man, too bad! Ah well... I'm back at home now with my nose to the grind stone, wishing I was back on the Islands. What an amazing place!
