Default Revival time

New project since the 4 door long bed hilux is almost done. RC4WD 4Runner on a Gen8 P.A.C.K chassis.

Custom widened RC4WD 1.55” deep dish wagon wheels (used 2 sets of inner barrels & m2x35mm screws to make wider) on MT Baja MTZs.

Trimmed the front suspension mounts to avoid hood contact, cut away the plastic frame rails before the steering servo to push the body back further, removed the rear shock mounts & temporarily mounted shocks to the rear of the frame to avoid the need to cut into the bed of the runner. Trimmed the side “step” pieces for the body to sit a little more flush. Little more prep needed to be done to get the body where I want.

Made my own panhard bar from an old RS10 link to accommodate the temporary lift I made to get the wheelbase correct to modify things. Ordered some Axial 11.4” WB links to see if I can drop the height a little more & bring the wheelbase in more accurately. Trx4 rear cantilever kit ordered. Probably will switch to 80mm front shocks to bring height down.

MyTrickRC dragon controller & according lights ordered as well as MyTrickRC halos, which hopefully will fit with little to no mods, but I doubt it.

Exterior will receive 8T6 code paint (Toyota VooDoo Blue). Roll bar will be painted white. Unsure of an interior color to go with.

Another Hawaiian Style rig in the making. Don’t mind the mess. Lol

::EDIT::

She’s got some color on her now. Looks good.

Howzit! New guy here I'm in Hilo side. I remember seeing a group at Kings Landing back in 2011 I think it was. Can't find anyone now it seems. Nice rigs BTW!

She almost complete. Just waiting on my TRX-4 cantilever kit to arrive to remove the temp rear shock setup. Ordered some 80mm TF2 superlift shocks if I decide to go back to a scale looking suspension setup. Lighting courtesy of MyTrickRC. Lightbar off banggood is stupid bright. Interior is still pretty much intact besides cutting out the drivers side floor to allow more room for the esc.

Looking for a new rig to build & macguyver now once this one is done.

I was gonna make a 5th gen but couldn’t pass on the the same RC4WD had on the complete 4Runner body. Lol.

I’m either gonna go element or scxii or scxiii for my next chassis & probably order the MFab 5th gen runner body. Lol.

I’ve been wanting to do a 5th gen for a while. Maybe now is the time. Lol

That blue truck looks good! Seems like now is a good time for a 5th gen. Theres a lot of folks making stuff for them now. I was thinking of getting 1.55 boggers and stretching them on 1.9s for my Trailrunner. We'll see though.
