| Ahh, I get it now. I was thinking before that the whole unit would not work using the Castle Link...but I see now that you only mean that the software in the ESC won't allow the link usage. Wheww, thought I was going to have to wait till the newer ESC came out so I could have full functionality. So it's just a software problem and not a hardware issue.

Yep, just needs new firmware. Once the update is released I will update all of my in stock controllers, which is a lot of work.

So far it is really close between the Quark and Castle. The Castle makes more noise, but controls brushed motors too. I will get some hard testing done this afternoon and see which one shines best on the rocks.

so i go online tonight to order the mamba max, because i seen you had it on sale for 115.00!!! and of course, i'm to late and the sale is over..... so i read about this sidewinder and it sounds like a great choice also, so i ordered one... my setup info is with the payment of course... i'm not sure how much adjustment you can do with the castle link, but if its anything like the max i was wondering if you could set my sidewinder up so that its got 100% power and 75% drag brake.... its going to be used in a 1.9 scaler with a 35 turn warrior motor... i want full power and lots of wheel speed, but i'll be doing the occasional crawling also.... thanks in advance... |

| Have you had a chance to check it out yet? I'm very interested in seeing a full review on it.

The quark still has a better super slow speed feel, and it is also quiet. However, the sidewinder controls brushed motors too so it will get more use from me.

JRH, i tested the sidewinder and have some gltching but only when i hit forward, reverser the power cables and i even hooked the throttle to the steering channel and got the same result, glitch when going forwards, i did bump the throttle curve setting on start up, could this be an issue?

You may try increasing your deadband. What radio? What motor? Using a BEC?
