Well JohnRob.. I've had this sidewinder sitting here for a little while now and finally was able to install it this week along with the BEC. Set it up using the computer which was a great experiance, although I really wasn't sure what to set everything at, well except the lipo selection. auto cut off at 6v for the 2 cell. Just figured I could play with it here and there. This being my first ESC that cost me over $30... The control compaired to my mopeds (which are good, just not compairable to the Sidwinder) is like night and day. I'll be using some of the advice I've received from you, Grover & halfcab to set mine up to my liking. Just want to say thanks for taking the time to answer all the questions I had along with all these other guys. You truely are the RC Crawlings electronic guru. Thanks |

Oh yes, all you have to do is buy a link. It works with the Sidewinder no problem. I told Castle to put the Cutoff first in the stick programming, but they couldn't do it withough making changes to all of the product line. |

Shipping to Aus is $15 flat rate priority and $25 for EMS or insured priority. Then add your goods on top of that. What is an email I can send an invoice too?

| No drag brake
OK ive programmed the Sidewinder adjusting my throttle curve and brake curve as well. Set my drag brake to 100% as well as everything else. I have what appears to be No drag brake. Let me explain; A rock face I can climb up with very little trouble (no fear of tipping back) if I let off my throttle finger it will roll back easily (as easy as if it were powered completly off) My set up: Axial AX-10(mostly stock) Stock Tranny w/ 15T pinion Integy 65T Sidewinder set to 100% drag No BEC installed at this time. |

Your radio might be giving a slight reverse throttle. Your motor magnets may be weak so that there is little feild to make drag. Your motor springs may be weak, even less drag. If your motor brushes are worn you will have even less spring tension. Integy motors don't have much drag brake available generally. |

I will be contacting Castle tomorrow about the sidewinders. If they have them in stock it should be friday or saturday. If they do not it will be on the next production run.
