It is even quicker to just look at the inventory on my site. The site reflects accurately of what we have in stock. 35t combos in all types are in stock.

I have hacked off many of the features we had on the TorqueMaster to make selection easier. Now you can either build up a Custom Pro motor or select the Team Torque motor for all those fancy features, so there wasn't much need to keep them added to the TM lineup.

Just received my TorqueMaster Pro 35T motor for my NightCrawler. It was a pleasant drop-in mod. Everything fits.
I ran the motor without any gears in forward/reverse at slow speed to check everything. Then I put the biggest pinion I have. A 25 tooth, to check the power of the motor. (stock motor ran with the 15T pinion for more torque). The TM has more torque to the wheel with the 25T than the stock motor with the 15T. I tried to stop the crawler with my hand on the floor, putting a good deal of weight on it to put some strain on the motor. I feared of breaking something. This thing never wanted to stop.

Now, on the stock Losi ESC, the forward brake is so instantaneous, it's not even funny for the driveline.

I rate the motor a good 5/5. Tons of power and fabulous brake capability!

just plugged the new torque master pro with br-xl with great expectation but.....i have to say, sparks are not supposed to come out of a new motor like that.

Brushed motors spark, the more powerful the larger the sparks can get. What turn, what voltage? Do you have hold turned on? Are you going forward to reverse? Going between full throttle and full drag (neutral) or reverse will cause a pretty big spark show.

Turning down the drag, and turning off hold will help.

the br-xl is default setting, i will try some adjustments but i dont have the castle link yet, its a 27t running 4s but i tried 2s and its spark but a little less, its my 10th or so brushed motor and i never saw sparks before. just the time to shoot this vid and i couldnt hold it bare hands, how much time does a 60$ motor will last in these conditions?

I can't answer that, it depends on your driving style, conditions, gearing, rollout, vehicle weight, drivetrain, etc... I typically get 10 hours on a set of brushes running 3s on a 27t motor. I have seen people burn through a set in 20 minutes. So between 20 and 600 minutes on average between brush changes and comm cuts

Hi JRH,

I emailed your site yesterday about a 27T TM Pro that would randomly stop working that needed a little push to get moving while in Tahoe. I had never had a brushed motor apart until yesterday. I guess all the dirty metal stuff coming from the can was the carbon from my brushes. I pulled the armature out and cleaned up everything with water and compressed air followed by a light oiling of the bearings. She's all better now, but there were at least 20 hours and 9 packs on it. My rig also has lights and sound running off the 5000mah 2s packs. The brushes seem to have worn unevenly. The com had little arcing lines running around it that were brown/gold in color, is this normal wear and tear or should I be cleaning this thing out every run (2 hours or so)?

Thanks,
Jason

P.s. This message is really for anyone with good knowledge of maintaining brushed motors

Hi John, I just received my two 55t TM Pro's. The front motor works great, but the rear ran for about 5 minutes then started to glitch out at medium RPM. It also will just stall and go dead with no throttle response. If you spin the wheels, it will start again but will eventually spark and jerk then stall out. It is not my esc as I tried two other 55t and 60T motors that I have and they work just fine. Before I send this one back, is there anything I can do. I waited about 6 weeks to get these and would like to remedy this ASAP. Thanks, Terry

Read over holmeshobbies.com/blot if you haven't yet, it has materials for troubleshooting the motor. Sounds like a hung brush or contaminate in there. If there is a problem with it I have plenty of 55t arms here now and could exchange it immediately.
