Got my 35T and FXR esc yesterday. I'm very impressed with the quality of the motor, I can't wait to get installed and run it.

I do have a question about the motor. The 'ring' on the pinion side of the motor is smaller in diameter then the opening in the motor plate. Do I need to make a bushing to take up the space or is there something I can buy?

Also, do you sell any 10t or 12t pinions? (48P)

I do have 12t pinions http://holmeshobbies.com/product.php...0&cat=8&page=1

Are you talking about the bearing recess on the motor? There is no need for it to be touching the motor plate.

on the front of the motor, where the mounting screw holes are, the shaft for the pinion gear comes out of the case. There is a machined "ring" on the case that fits inside of the opening on the motor plate. On the Tekin 55t motor, that "ring" was the same diameter as the opening in the motor plate, so it helped support the motor. The 35T motor I bought from you has a smaller diameter "ring" so when I mount the motor in the plate, the only thing supporting the motor are the 2 screws.

I don't know if this is an issue or not, I'm not sure if the motor is supposed to be supported by this ring, so I'm not sure if I need a bushing in there to help the motor be aligned and supported.

The motor just needs to be tight against the motor plate. Once you tighten the mounting screws everything is good.

Gosh darn it...

Still debating about brushless motors for the clod... Is the 3014 sport any real difference from the 3014 master?

Are the 3014's custom HH scorpions? with the enclosed case, 25mm spacing and 1/8th shaft.

Am I on hiding to nothing with this - should I just go to brushled AA and accept that this will be my one brushed car?

If you want better performance, yes go brushed. If you reaaaally want brushess you will have to pick up some sensored motors to get comp worthy performance. Luciano has an ESC coming to me that I will be testing, with sensor ports and crawling programming. Then a cheap feigao sensored motor or some 18.5 unit will do.

The 3014 sport has cheaper magnets and thicker laminations to it. For crawling it is hard to tell the difference. It is a custom scorpion build.

None of them will shun you for running brushed here. Many of them have crawlers too, they understand the habit.

I have them here and just haven't put them on the site. I will do that today if I get the time. 40+ orders and school registration must come first though.
