Noted about the issue you had with throttle points, I will check into it. This one is just brushed, as the thread title states. |

Everyone seems to be divided on this issue, so I'll defer to the expert... Would the onboard BEC in the BRXL be enough to run a Hitec 7950? Here are the stats from Servocity: Idle Current Drain (4.8V): 9mA at stop Idle Current Drain (6.0V): 9mA at stop Current Drain (4.8V): 220mA/idle and 3.8 amps at lock/stall Current Drain (6.0V): 300mA/idle and 4.8 amps at lock/stall Seems like @ 6v it will be pushing that BEC pretty hard... |

Yeah, that is right on the edge of it. If you will be competing, I would suggest that you have another BEC for prosperity. For tooling around the yard, not so critical as you can always pick up a BEC if the need arises.

If you want an external BEC to power the servos and RX, yes you would remove the red wires on the ESC rx wire. Otherwise, you can run the internal BECs in parallel with each other with no problems.

That's cool, not trying to rush you or anything, just trying to get a workable schedule going. That ESC is the last piece of the puzzle for my TTC build and want to ensure I can get some good test and tune in before the big event in October. Thanks, Chris |

Looks like it is still here, my mistake. Today's mail run has already come and gone, so I will get your package back to you in tomorrow's mail. Thanks for the patience!

No sweat, I know how hectic things can be. I've got a back up ESC for the time being to get some runs in. Thanks for the update!

It is, I've had that motor deep in the mud and water, as long as you do preventive maintenance you shouldn't have any problems, but running them in silty water and mud can reduce their lifespan.

Hey John I have a new BR-XL that I could get to calibrate but it work for a short period once I adjusted sub trims to keep it from spinning the motor in reverse. Now it lights up and the led's act like it is functioning normal but there is power going in and with a volt meter nothing coming out of the motor outputs. My other BR-XL works like a champ though.
