No worries! I tried to reset full throttle via your procedure, but it acted the same, i.e. programming forward WOT worked fine, but it wouldn't register WOT for reverse.

That is strange. Did you try reversing the throttle channel? Sounds like it is the reverse endpoint that is causing troubles.

I sure did. After reversing throttle, reverse then had full speed and forward was lacking.

Sounds like it isn't seeing signal from the RX.

Hey John,

Still can't get full throttle in reverse no matter what I try, but I have another phenomenon going on. Maybe it's related?

Anyway, at neutral there is occasionally a nasty loud screeching sound. It goes away once the wheels are spinning. But if I try to modulate very low throttle input it become very notchy and the noise returns. I've set the throttle input to allow very precise low speed control, but what you see is the slowest I can get the drivetrain to move. Not sure what is wrong.

The motor is one of your 10t pullers, ESC is your BR-XL, and the battery is a 3s LiPo, though I've tried 2s and 4s with similar results.

Here's a video showing what is happening.

What do you think the problem could be?

Thanks,
Tommy

The buzzing could be the active brake being too high, but I think your ESC may need a swap. Shoot me an email and we can get it going.

you think this could be a good esc for the project we talked about yesterday?

350watt motor on 6s?

On programming the voltage cutoff it is set at "auto lipo". Does this esc just magically know that I'm using a 2s and cutts off? Or do I set it? Never used your esc or the castle link this is all new. Thanks

*edit* found my answer on pg 16

I think so, if you don't already have something else 6s capable floating around.

When you get the TM ESC it is set for auto lipo. It beeps the number of cells it detects on startup, and takes care of the cutoff for you

It shouldn't have anything to do with a new release.

Ah, well the active brake will jitter when turned up too high. That doesn't explain the bad low speed control though.
