I meant to ask you the other day...what gauge wire will be used on the slimline units?

13ga comes on the battery side, there are no wires on the motor side- just bare holes. The 13ga is good for pulling heat off the board.

Makes sense.

Either way, I am one happy customer!

Thanks,
I'm a huge fan of A Main. They still have both the waterproof and non-waterproof BR-XLs in stock. If you order now, I can almost guarantee it will be shipped out by the end of the day.

Slimline version in stock! The photo isn't updated yet, but they are the BR-XL without the case/ heatsink/ and motor wires. We made a pretty small batch, so we couldn't save any money dropping the components off the build.

You will probably want to do a little searching and reading on here about that. There are so many different options/configurations out there it all depends on what you want for your particular rig. This thread is also designed for info pertaining to the BR-XL ESC, not his motors.

The CrawlMaster motors are designed to give you that low-end torque while not sacrificing the top-end. Take a look in this section for information on the CrawlMasters and take a look at the video JRH posted on YouTube. There is a whole thread dedicated to them.

Guess who just scheduled re-engineering of the power board for a MINI version? Should have protos in about 12 weeks! 4s lipo, no big BEC, and a teeeny tiny footprint.

There is a wee little BEC in there, nothing to write home about. Enough for an RX if neeed. Waterproof, we can dip em easy enough. A full resin encased version will happen after I design the case. First we are just going to do bare boards for all those weight weenines out there.

And it has the same programming as the full size brother, so Holmes Hold will be available in a micro sized ESC.

I bought my BR-XL used and have been very happy with it but I made a rookie mistake when I was upgrading my motors and fear I damaged it by shorting it out . Obviously this is not a warranty issue but I need to know if you repair them at the customers expense or do I need to buy a new one . I'm going to run a BR-XL in my comp rig either way , just need to know what my options are . I will be taking it to someone with more knowledge to verify my fears before I go any further with it so I don't waste anyone's time .
