John, I need new brushes for my Crawlmaster Pro 13t. I went to the Crawlmaster Pro page on your site, but didn't see a way to purchase replacement brushes. Are they available and is there any way to get harder brushes that may last a bit longer? Thanks! Tommy |

Just regular standup brushes is what you need. I'm working on some different brush compounds. I do have some putnam silvers if you want to try. Brushes not lasting, are you using Hold mode by chance? |

| Re: Crawlmaster 540 Brushed motor Sale thread- The low end King! Over the course of this motor, I would say that's definitely a possibility. Nowadays I'm not....in fact, I'm not even having to use all of the standard drag brake to hold the truck securely. Does hold mode eat away the brushes? As far as replacements, I'd try whatever you recommend....whether it's a standard hobby shop item or a super secret compound you're working on! |

The hold does eat brushes, positive brush in particular. Regular brushes seem to work best for long comm life. It is either shorter comm life or shorter brush life, so pick what is important to you. |

I'm resting my hands for a minute, a batch of 13t is getting wound up in a few. We will terminate tonight, and dip and balance tomorrow.

I've been training a new winder so we are slowly getting inventory built up again. Just finished up a batch of 15 custom CM motors for this week and have about 15 extra I put into inventory thursday. We will start another batch Monday and get another 40 to 60 motors in inventory depending on how many Pro Customs I have for the week. Currently we are limited to about 60 motors per week since I have to watch over and do most of the labor. 13t and 16t are still the most popular winds, with more and more drivers going to 13t in light rigs. The lighter rigs just don't need as much torque and power, so as we go nuts on sub 5 and 4 pound rigs the motor can be tuned for better low end control and smaller batteries. The 5 slot armature use copper more efficiently than the three slot, so the finished armature is a few grams lighter as well. I have yanked the Team version off my site for a bit while it is in dynamic change this month. You can still get the old design built in my Pro Custom 540 motor product, select the 5 slot armature and the Checkpoint endbell. Some very cool Custom CrawlMasters will be popping up here and there. If you want something for a competitive edge don't hesitate to contact me direct through the website Last edited by JohnRobHolmes; 07-28-2012 at 09:28 AM. |

If only I was not in a hurry! Just ordered 2xCM 20T. Would have loved to get the Team edition. We (South Africa) are still at the go slow level. Faster would come soon. Found the Torque Master 2012 Pro with 16T CM armatures too fast for my liking but the power and control. Excellent. Cant wait for the CM's to arrive. |

Ok - I think I have to get one of these. Sir Holmes, Would you and/or your team be willing/able to pre-solder the motor leads on them? I would obviously pay the additional cost. I have the BR-XL ready to go but still have the stock Axial motor in my Honcho with the factory connectors. I'd kind of like to leave them that way so I can use that motor with the AE-2 I'm replacing with the BR-XL. If you guys would be willing to do that, how should I notate that on my order? Thanks much! It is an option I need to add on the site, I have notated it for first thing tomorrow's work. It will be a option you can select. Thanks for the reminder! You guys ate up the last batch of 13t's quick! We have another 20x in process right now that should be finished Thursday along with 20x other winds plus some Pro Customs in there. |
