My 20t is super smooth and awesome low end. I'd say its close to like a 40-45t 3-slot arm

Ran 87:17 on 3s in my scx10. Pretty decent for a crawler. I'm used to a torquemaster 55t on 87/19 and the 20t Crawlmaster is faster and smoother.

I ended up going with the 16t Crawlmaster.............LOVIN' IT!!!!
Super smooth low end and still have the wheel speed when needed.

I have the HH 13t BL in my Wraith and love it, Just tried the HH Crawlmaster Expert 13t w/Castle SW3 in my SCX10 Truggy and am extremely impressed. Running 87/16, on 3s. Low end is beyond cool, wheel speed is very good. This WILL be the combo I use for my next build!

Just installed a HH Crawlmaster Sport 13t. It was a replacement for the stock Axial 27t. Wow!! What a difference it makes. Much more low end torque and at least as much top speed as the original equipment. A whole lot of motor for very little money. Very impressive. About to go from 2 cell lipo to 3 cell lipo. I can't wait to see the difference in performance.

posted this in another forum but figured I would try here also. I am running a 16t crawlmaster with a 10t pinion and 56t 32p spur. The motor gets hot to the touch after about 10-15 min of crawling/trail running, mainly what I like to do. Question is how hot is too hot, and what spur /pin ration would be best? and does tire size factor into the heat of the motor? This is in a wraith spawn on 2s with a torqumaster br-xl esc on 2.2 tsl/xl tires.

John I am looking for a motor for my Twin Hammers. I want it to be a little faster than the stock motor on 2s but be able to run 3s as well. I will be using this as a trail rig mostly a little crawling and bashing but mostly trailing. Price is not a concern I want the best motor I can get for it thanks.

Faster than stock, you will be eating brushes pretty fast with any brushed motor in the Twin hammers. I would recommend brushless, practically anything in our brushless section that is between 2700kv and 3500kv would be a good choice. I would choose a TrailMaster BL or Puller Pro 540S Stubby.

Odd question time- any easy-to-get-to drawings that you could post showing the outer dimensions of the 550 brushed motors? I'm not able to access any of my stuff right now, this is for a Solid Works project.

New truck. Setup is a plus 10lb truck with 1.9 tires with a sindwinder3 ESC on 2s.
It's primary use is crawling, trail and G6. Crawl ability is a must. And as much
Top end speed as possible with out sacrificing crawl ability.
Any ideas or suggestions would be great. Thanks.

I have 3 crawlmastwr motors, lately I have moved from traditional 3 course 10 gate scale comps to long trail rides that range from 3 hours upto 6 hours only stopping a few times... it seems like the motors are getting week so I turned the coms and added new brushes... they all still seem weak. Is this type of trail running to much for the crawlmaster series?

No problem running trails and G6. Brushless will give longer "no hassle" service with hours on the trail, but the Crawlmaster has one of the best service lifes of rebuildable motors.

801Ryan, are your batteries also very old, or maybe these are machine wound and the comm connection is getting poor?

Old batteries, just. Received new ones, I'll give that a try... might send them in for a look over

Are these available still? I have a 13t that I would love to buy a spare motor.
