I just tried 2 good 850s, 1 is a 25-40c burst nano-tech, the other is a Hyperion 25c, with both I still had the cut out issue, with auto Lipo turned on.
The weird thing is the front motor is the one that always cuts out the rear does fine, and if I swap the channels then it's the rear that cuts out then the front is fine.

I may be wrong but this seems to point to something in your calibration between the Tx and the ESC's OR the settings in the Tx.

The reason I say this is that when you swap the ESC plugs at the Rx from one channel to the other the only thing that changes is which channel each ESC is getting signal from. The ESC's are still powering the same motors no matter which channel you plug them into. So for the issue to flip flop front the front to the rear points to the calibration or Tx settings.

Like I said...I may be wrong, but it seems like there's something else going on here.

Just another breakdown on what I was trying to explain...if you had swapped the plugs at the Rx and the problem stayed with the front motor then you would know that there is something not quite right with the ESC powering the front motor. Again this issue could also be in the calibration between the Tx and ESC.

Another thing I just thought of is that I believe that your BEC is hardwired to the ESC powering the front motor. I wondered if that might have anything to do with it, but it seems that would only be the case if the problem didn't move front to rear when you swap the Rx plugs...

Whoops my mistake, it's still the front motor no matter if I swap channels on the receiver or on the radio, thanks for pointing that out itty.

When I ran my br minis in my berg with HH 40t motors black labeled motors esc's work fine.
Same br minis in another berg that has 16t motors red labeled I have LVC issues... 100% of the time trying to get off my lid.

Same issue when I'm on my lid or all 4 tires on the ground, front motor always cuts out, no matter what I try.

Without reading back through your posts...have you tried using a larger pack temporarily. I mean something like a 1300mah 3S or even a 4S to see if the problem persists?

No I haven't tried that yet, 4s still kinda scares me, I don't want to hurt my motor.

Only the front, and without LVC enabled? There are a ton of things that could cause a brownout, I assume the front motor has shorter wires and thus pulls more amperage.

A few ideas:
-unit could have a hardware problem, would be covered under warranty
-radio could be browning out on that channel. Increase BEC voltage a quarter volt and see if it persists
-ESC brain could be browning out or losing RX signal. Try a larger battery or larger battery wires. A big burst can ripple the ground reference and cause the RX signal to drop out on the ESC side.

When stacked, it is best to plug in a battery when programming to avoid browning out the Castle Link. One is programmed at a time.

Sure, how long and what size wire?

It's not too big, but it will be difficult to solder them on while staying on the pads. 12g is about the biggest that I can easily fit.

For a super, would you suggest the minis over a normal decased brxl? I would assume that these would be fine, but I am just wondering.

Thanks,
Christian

Yes, minis in a super too. A decased BRXL would just be larger.

I'm wondering if I could turn down the lvc on the esc controlling the front motor
And see if that helps or fixes it?? What do you think John??

Thanks for the info about added wire length. I sent you a email a few weeks back about one of my br mini not working anymore. It hit LVC and now all it does is make a clicking sound with a fully charged battery, and gets warm too. The front esc is fine and works great. I updated the firmware tonight and will try it tonight to see if it works. I might send in both sec's and have you stack them if you will do that. Thanks Ty

Edit: I tried it with the updated firmware and it's still dead.

Hey

Need some help/advice for programming my two brxl mini with the Castle Link.
Is there a setup I can start with?
Have tried them and I feel its a bit jumpy on start up and its like they are delayed in reverse.
Got them in my Pro rig.

John,

Got alittle issue with my mini

Put one in my shafty last night got it set up wired and when I go forward slow no problem but when I go alittle fast and let off the motor just takes off till I hit reverse then t stops.
Also if you just leave the truck sitting there it will take off on it own

Any thoughts to what my problem is?

thanks
