Yes, I have been working on methods to control motors better when transitioning from drag to throttle.

Or as in this case, from motor to dragbrake? Is there perhaps a way to get the brake to ramp up over a second or two instead of just a sudden step function? Then it would better handle both a downhill controlled descent as well as a high-angle parked situation.

That is the easiest solution I have come up with. We would have to get rid of the throttle damping profile in favor of the drag damping, but overall it seems to be more useful and wanted

Any chance that can be implemented with firmware on current hardware? Or will it require new hardware?

Ok this is going backwards a bit but anyway, I am still having the front motor cutting out when going from forward to reverse when flipped on my lid and trying to get on my wheels, I've tried all suggestions from getting batts with bigger punch ratings to lowering/turning off the lvc, I've even reset my 4pk and rebound the receiver then recalibrated the escs individually and still have the same motor cut out issue the only thing I haven't tried is soldering bigger batt wires to the escs per Johns earlier suggestion, and yes I've upgraded the firmware to the escs and the issue still persists.
After I reset the radio and rebound and recalibrated everything and still had the problem I pulled them out of the rig and put my old set up (smashed micro sidewinders with bec and now I can go from forward to reverse with no issues.
I have sent John an email yesterday but haven't heard anything back from him yet.

Ok question for John. I am getting ready to order the smashed brminis for my 2.2pro. Have the smashed ones been updated with the new firmware or is it something I'll have to do when I get them??

Thanks, John

John builds the smashed esc from his current stock. So they will have the same software as his single units

I emailed John while placing my order for the stacked minis. He said this are already programmed and basically plug and play. I can dig out my email to verify.

This is the question I emailed to John. - What about the stacked mini I ordered. What is this I read on the RC site about motor cut offs and LVC on the some of the guys.

Here is John's response to my email. - The issue with the Mini has be fixed. The new version of software has a fix in it so there should not be an issue anymore

Hey John, I got two BR Minis wired up. I updated the latest version of firmware. But I still cannot use holmes hold without issue. One of the ESC causes the motor to chatter when holmes hold is on. I tried every percentage down to 10% with the holmes hold but the motor chatters while in neutral. I take the hold off and all is good. Is this a bad ESC? Please advise.

I tried to send you a PM but could not.

Hello
I set up and wired up my duel esc's today and I'm having heat issues before it even gets off the bench.
I'm using the MT4 temp sensor as a testing tool.
As soon as the ESC's are powered up the temp starts to rise.
I have tried a BEC powering the receiver and both ESC receiver power wires disconnected and temp rises quickly to 45 deg C (113) with 2 minutes and keeps going up.
I tried using both ESC's to power the receiver , same problem
and just one ESC powering things is the same all
this is with the rig just sitting on the bench no drive at all.
HH is off and all other settings are factory bar the VCO which is set to 9volts for three cell.
These are my first HH products and don't want to kill them before I even get to run the rig.
Any suggestions on solving this would be much appreciated.
