Because it's the "same" controller in a nice tidy...smaller footprint. Same great programming, same insane power, low speed control, and drag brake. The mini DOES have an internal BEC.

It's my first set of HH esc's, can we enable Holmes Hold on these mini or should we wait for a firmware update?
Sorry if this question has allready been asked but I didn't found an answer

Thanks

Holmes Hold will most likely create a little more heat. If you're going to turn it on you should run a larger gauge wire like 16 or larger to help carry heat away from the ESC's.

You really shouldn't need the Hold turned on in any of your rigs Francis. I'm running them stock in all of my rigs and haven't had any problem with them rolling when I didn't want them to. When we were running 5lb + rigs the Hold was really beneficial, but these days it's not so necessary for the comp rigs.

Ity, when you say your running your stock, do you mean you didn't program any of the paramiters? Just got mine and haven't tinkered with them yey. Also my first HH esc's. Thanks

Thanks Ryan for the answer
As I'm new to HH esc I wanna test this new feature but I won't.

Correct. John already has them set for 100% forward and reverse as well as having the braking turned up, but the Hold is turned off. I took them out of the package and installed them...no programming

At this point I have them in my 2.2 Berg, 2.2 XR, 2.2 Shafty, and have a set for my Super Berg also. The Super will probably get the Hold turned on, but I will turn the Brake Amount down to something like 60% so they don't lock up as hard, but those 8" tires need the extra braking.

You will need to wait until firmware 1.10 comes out. On the mini it didn't port properly, so Holmes Hold does the opposite and moves the rig

The answer to post below is I have some bad batteries.

So I noticed with my Br-minis When I go forward and reverse with the throttle as if you are trying to flip the rig back over on it's wheels. I lose power ... esc's shuts off.
esc's are not hot @ all. any ideas ?
I can also get the Rig to do this while holding it. Moving triger on remote forward & reverse.
More info I have both red esc wires going into the RX. My bec powers sevo only.. esc's power the rx..
I've tried 3 different batteries.

99% guess- your battery or battery side wires are too small, or the packs won't handle the motor. Did you try turning off the lvc?

I had the same thing happen to me, tho it was on and off.. I have since took notice to the batteries I was using and the voltage of the batteries.. its the batteries, when it happens/happened to me..

This was my 1st thought went through what I thought was 4 good batteries.... after reading above post.. thought might as well try some different batteries... on the 5th battery BINGO! It's working so I need to weed out some bad batteries.
Thanks for the help.
Thanks..

Hmm?
Freshly charged doesn't matter. The wire size, battery resistance, and motor do.

Do you suppose they've actually gone bad, or were they marginal on current delivery to begin with? IE small mah and low-ish C-rating.

That's a good question...which batteries are you using?

Thought all my batteries to be in great condition but.
I tried 3 Gens Ace 450 25c 3s with all 3 batteries esc's would cutoff. I thought maybe the Gen Aces batteries brand just aren't powerful enough for the br minis.
So I tried 1 Cheap battery pack Elite 450 black label
With same results.. esc's cutting off.
After reading the post from John, ittibitty & winnerone I tried 1 more Gen Aces 450 pack.
Rig is running perfect.

My bad batteries all cells have good voltage. Idk.
I'll be testing all my batteries in the rig today.

Interesting. The Gens Ace 450's are fine...but you must have gotten a couple "bad ones". I run the same packs in all of my 2.2 rigs...I think I've got around 22 of them at this point
