Stacked mini's, 18g wire, red wire pulled from one esc, the other powering the rx. Bec red wire pulled from bec to rx @ 7.4v. HH 30t Team pro flows.. no issues in the XR..

Bec soldered to the mini, using the esc's cap as the bec's cap and stacked. 18g wire.. 13t Team pro crawl stage 4 LW kit. Only issue, drag brake doesn't hold 4lb sporty from creeping backwards, on a incline, when off the throttle.. with a 6.22:1 gear ratio..

I'm still a little fuzzy here. Why not remove both internal bec's and power the RX with the Castle BEC? I gotta think both my Futaba RX and 7950 would be perfectly happy with the same 7.4V.

Too lazy to rewire my previous set up and have bitched an rx due to over voltage in the past, guess I'm just a little gun shy too

Gotcha. My receivers are spec'ed to 7.4V. I assumed that was typical.

No problems whatsoever and esc package never gets above 120*

Turn off holmes hold everyone!, it won't work till the next castle firmware update
Esc's come with Holmes Hold off already stock... IMO... it's not the esc's just need better batteries.

It's typical for futaba, it was a spektrum rx before I made the switch to the right stuff, I'll stick with the lazy

Alright.. so I have 2 bergs... My "comp" berg smashed HH br minis (wired like any other CC sidewinders) with HH 16t red label motors with this setup my LVC would cutoff with most of my batteries when trying to flip rig back on it's wheels.
So I removed the br minis & slapped them in my other berg it has HH 40t motors. Sofar even with my "bad" batteries, I can flip rig back on it's wheels LVC as not shut down the Esc's. I'll burn a few pack Saturday.

But these 40t motors are SLOW compared to my 16t motors. Maybe a 4s with the 40t ?

@ comp practice today I ran CC mamba micros 16t motors gen ace 3s 450mah running rig hard, heat wise even the CC esc reached 143* so 140* with br minis is right on par. IMO.

Waiting for my BR Minis to turn up , hopefully tomorrow, not that I think I will change the stock settings but how do you hook it up with the Castle Link ?
What CC model do you select ?
Thanks

Xs 2, I tried hooking them with mine and it said that what I had plugged in to it was not a castle product.

Got our sample stacker boards! With a little tweak to the text we will be ready for production and get the multi unit version started The three PCBs are connected together with 15.5 gauge solid copper headers. This design relocates the input caps to minimize total volume.

They will be offered in one fully wired and water resistant package. We are bouncing between 16g and 13g wire on the battery side terminals. The 13g offers half the voltage drop with just a few grams of extra weight, so it is my preference.

I'm not going to publish it now. The zener mod fulfills the same need without hacking into the ESC. The overall response has been a lack of understanding and more dense material isn't the answer I would suggest you install a Zener to power your ESC brain in a cooler way, or just run them as you would normally wire an ESC.

but if you really want to hack, I'll send you an email

Yeah man, im happy to take the risk as I wire my rigs to just power the servo off the ccbec directly keeping wires to a minimum... no blame on you if I stuff up

And...? How did the stacked boards work out? Are they up to snuff? Production starting soon? (One hopes). Inquiring minds want to know.

Cheers eh,
