JRH installed my BR minis last week. They are awesome. They have become the beauty which has tamed my savage beast motors.

I see these available as "BR mini dual" ESCs pre smashed with smaller motor leads. Is it possible to order them with 13g wire?

John, i am having trouble calibrating the minis.... The instructions says hold full throttle on transmitter before the esc arms... I am holding the full throttle before i plug in the battery...then the esc arms and changes from green to red flashing with beeping. Then placed om full reverse, changes to green with beeping. Then on neutral changes to red with beeping. Am i doimg the calibration right? I am doing it one esc at a time...

What kind of radio are you using xabs? The process is... hold full forward plug in battery wait for tones and flashing green to change to flashing red hold full reverse wait for tones and flashing yellow return to neutral wait for arming sequence to finish should be ready to go Just a recommendation...I take a rubber band and put it around the grip of my radio and use it to hold the throttle in full forward while I plug in the battery. Then slide the band off and continue the process... Last edited by ittybitty; 04-15-2014 at 07:00 AM. |

Do you have the throttle channel "reversed" on your radio? If not...you need to.

No, I did not. That could probably be the answer. I was doing the same process over and over with no luck. I'll try reversing the throttle channel and redo the calibration and see how it goes.

I tried out what you suggested ittybitty and got the esc calibrated. Now everything is all fired up. Thanks for the help. |

Just drove my new BR Mini in my Sporty and without question it's the best ESC i've ever owned. I followed the number one Cool Wiring method and the BR Mini had no heat issues what so ever. My testing session of steady abuse was for a total of forty five minutes and it never got beyond warm. Great product John now I'm going to have to get a Mini Stack for my Pro rig. |

I am switching from a brxl to the mini on my shafty, I used to have the castle bec set at 7.4v to give current to rx and servo (both support that voltage) and the red wire disconnected from the esc plug. Battery is 3s. Can I adopt the same setup with the mini or it is required to have the red wire connected to the esc? Thanks! |

Installed new duel Torquemaster BR minis- Also a new radio MT-4. Does the throttle need to be reversed? The speed controls did program ok. I took the old motors out of my XR10(one year old 16t 5 segment). Installed the motors in Bully 2. They went backwards. So I swapped the motors front to rear. It's faster in reverse then forward. Do I need to adjust the timing on the motors? There are much smoother then the FXR's they replaced. Does this mean the motors are the same rotation as a Berg? Thanks Matt |

Nah, the throttle is correct. Ur motors either need the timing retarded or put them back where they where, front and rear, and rotate ur end bell 180. It's easiest to loosen the screw's and retard ur timing.. Any other MT-4 questions, I'm up on that as well. Love that tx! By far my favorite! |
