Yes both lights are blinking green. The more throttle I apply the less the light blink green.

Thanks- recalibrated each speed control on channel 2 that fixed the problem. Still not sure what I did wrong.

Just wondering if a smashed BRXL SL or a decased smashed BRXL will ever be offered? I have been running my BRmini with decent results, I just like the BRXL.

I could use a set for my super build as well.. If it adds to the interests of doing a small batch.. Smashed SL's if a choice was given..

Probably not, but I will say that we are working on a change for the mini that will lower temps a lot and boost up the performance.

Would this be a program change (castle link) or a new br-mini esc ?

It is a change of hardware for better performance, so while the ESC won't look any different to the eye or castle link it will be different.

A batch is entering production now, but I'm not sure if the updated hardware is going to be available. Lead time on parts is 10 weeks, and lead time on manufacturing is 12. If we didn't get the timing right it will be the following batch, and we will mark down the "regular" batch in between time.

Keep running them, my are still running strong (15ish comps several practices runs) thumbsup". They are always warm after I run a course but I haven't seen any magic smoke yet.
However I do have an extra set ready to go if they smoke. (But haven't needed them)

I have been running a smashed set since they came out.. With one replaced..
In all fairness, I ran/run them for hours at a time, pack after pack, at least twice a week and the other days for 2-3 packs.

That's with the bec smashed right in with them and the thicker black shrink wrap..
Same with my sporty. Br mini an bec smashed right together. Haven't had one of them fail to date..

Warm, might be a understatement.. ;)

Didn't work for me. Had the Mini's and BEC smashed and it got way too hot and created glitching. Once separating the BEC, everything has worked well.

If and when the new version comes out that runs cooler, that'll be a definite plus.

John, will you let us know when this new batch is up on your site please. I'm working on a new build and I can wait for the new one as it'll be knee deep in snow and too cold to crawl outside soon anyways.

Thanks man.

Todd

Will this change possibly help to fight the issue of cutting out when going full forward to full reverse? I've noticed that with my XR running the puller 500's I don't have the issue as much as on my Berg running a set of standard 540 30t big wire motors. On the Berg if I end up on my lid...getting back on the wheels without driving up to a rock or something to flip it over is hopeless...in other words giving it full throttle to full reverse leads to nothing but cutting out which severely hinders the ability to flip back over.

I know we've discussed this before and covered the possible concerns with battery capability, wire gauge, etc. but I'm still hoping there's a programming or hardware change that can be made to alleviate the problem without having to go back to "bigger wire" or to larger batteries.

Yes, it may indeed help since there will be less voltage drop. I have confirmed the batch in production now will have the improved hardware. It has delayed production however, so it may be 8 weeks before restock.

Probably be about 6 more weeks. The hardware change put a monkey wrench into the production schedule and we just got production started a few weeks back.
